ENTERTAINMENT: Video: Kseniya Simonova - Ukraine Has Talent Winner
The winner of Ukraine Has Talent, the Ukrainian version of America's Got Talent, is absolutely amazing. Kseniya Simonova does an amazing job of portraying Ukraine's torment during World War 2. Describing it is impossible, it is a must see video. Trust me, you will enjoy it. This video is being featured on Huffington Post and The Guardian to name a few.

Video: Kseniya Simonova - Ukraine Has Talent Winner
This video may need a little explaining for all the non Soviet people watching. It's premise is obviously the second world war, and many of the imagery present in the video may not be immediately obvious to the western world.
The final scene, for example, is the most difficult to understand. There is a lady on one side of the window, a man on the other side and a child on the sill. The text, written in Russian, translates to "You are Always Near". My understanding is that the man on the other side of the window is the deceased husband, while the wife is sitting in the window waiting for his return. Of course, I have been wrong before.
Other interesting imagery is the woman with the envelope aging. The clever use of sand to age the lady waiting for the return of her loved one is great. The transition into the Obelisk may be a bit difficult for some westerners to understand. In Russia/Ukraine, the obelisk is a sign for the Unknown Soldier.
The video itself has a lot of Russian/Ukrainian imagery. I think the rest is pretty explanatory, but if there are any questions I would be happy to go further into detail.
