ENTERTAINMENT: Video: Michael Jackson's funeral
After almost 2 months of Michael Jackson's death (died at 50 on June 25th 2009), his body was finally laid to rest during a private service in the exclusive section of the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California. Jackson was interred in the cemetery’s Great Mausoleum, a voluminous building that also houses the remains of Clark Gable, W.C. Fields and Carole Lombard. The ceremony got underway later than expected on Thursday night, at about 8:35 p.m. local time.
Elizabeth Taylor, actor Macaulay Culkin and music producer Quincy Jones were among the 200 invited guests who attended the private event.
Jackson's brothers - Randy, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon - acted as pallbearers as his gold-plated coffin was removed from a hearse.
All were dressed identically in black suits, with each wearing a solitary white glove - a fashion statement made famous by their legendary sibling.
The singer's children - Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II - sat in the front row next to his parents, Katherine and Joe Jackson.
Comedian Chris Tucker, producer Berry Gordy and Lisa Marie Presley, Jackson's ex-wife, also attended.
