ENTERTAINMENT: What killed Brittany Murphy?
Brilliant actress, 32-year old Brittany Murphy, died last week leaving people speculating about possible reasons leading to her death.
Murphy was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after collapsing at her Hollywood Hills home Sunday morning. The county coroner's office is awaiting the results of toxicology and tissue tests before releasing an official cause of death.Source: Associated Press
Her husband, Simon Monjack, quashed all early reports of drug overdose by calling them "rubbish".
"I'm confident it wasn't an overdose," he told The News. "She was not a drug addict."
He confirmed Tuesday that investigators found and took away a bevy of precriptions - " but nothing else" - and slammed speculation that the 32-year-old beauty was abusing illegal drugs.
"There's no question that's rubbish," said Monjack, a British photographer and screenwriter who married the "Clueless" star in 2007.
Murphy was ill before her collapse Sunday - she had laryngitis and also suffered from a heart murmur - but she didn't ingest anything dangerous, he said."My wife did not take anything on the morning of her death that would have caused her to be sick or ill, let alone die. It's beyond even the sickest speculation," he told the Daily News.

New reports are coming in about presence of various prescription medicines in Murphy's bedroom, which makes us speculate that a cocktail of these medicines could be the culprit. Similar cocktail was responsible for the death of “Dark Knight” star Heath Ledger.
;
A pharmacy-load of prescription drugs were found in Murphy’s bedroom including Klonopin (an anxiety medication), Carbamazepine (treats diabetic symptoms and is also a bipolar med), Ativan (anxiety med), Vicoprofen (pain reliever), Hydrocodone (pain med), Topamax (anti-seizure med also to prevent migraines), Propranolol (hypertension, used to prevent heart attacks), Biaxin (an antibiotic), Methylprednisolone (an anti-inflammatory), Fluoxetine (a depression med) and miscellaneous vitamins. Some of the bottles were full while some were empty, according to a coroner investigator’s notes leaked to TMZ.com . No alcohol containers, paraphernalia or illegal drugs were discovered, the notes said.
“Absolutely, mixing a number of these drugs could have resulted in her death,” Dr. Bruce Goldberger, a professor and director of toxicology at the University Of Florida College of Medicine told RadarOnline . “At the moment, it is pointing toward an overdose - or at least that will have to be ruled out by the autopsy or toxicology results.”

Hopefully, the toxicology results will be out soon, ending all speculations.
