ENTERTAINMENT: Charlie Sheen arrested and released on domestic violence charges
Charlie Sheen, 44, the Two and a Half Men star was booked at 11:20 a.m. for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief in Aspen, Colorado. His wife Brooke Mueller was being pressured to recant her charge.
Sheen, 44, posted an $8,500 bond Friday evening, and was released from jail at 7 p.m. The actor is due in court next on Feb. 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.
Earlier in the day, police received a 911 call regarding a domestic violence situation at 320 West Hallam Street in Aspen, Colo. Officers investigated and booked Sheen. The victim, thought to be his wife Brooke Mueller, was not transported to the hospital.Source: www.people.com
Charlie Sheen has been earlier known for boozing problems and seems like he and his wife Brooke had been drinking all night.
The actor went to rehab in 1990 after his father orchestrated an intervention. In 1998 Sheen overdosed on alcohol and cocaine and was hospitalized. He tried to hide his condition but his father made it public. Charlie then checked into rehab, left rehab and returned to rehab.
Many other booze-fueled near catastrophes were covered up, a source with direct knowledge of the situations told RadarOnline.com.
And now Sheen is in the middle of another incident involving booze, clearly a blaring warning siren for a man who has suffered with addictions nearly his entire adult life.
While the actor's spin machine tries to lessen the damage from his Christmas arrest, the fact that Sheen is drinking again ultimately may be the biggest problem he and his handlers face. Mueller recanted her version of Charlie's violence late Christmas day but told friends that she and Charlie were boozing and that she just wants out of the marriage.

I smell another celebrity divorce but somehow I hope that this one doesn't happen. Charlie, you need to get your act together, please!
