Brazil Contrary to Brazilian pathologists' earlier speculations with regards to Air France flight AF447 breaking up in the air, french investigators have released a report indicating that the airplane broke on impact.

WORLD: Update: Air France Flight 447
Brazil On May 31st, Air France flight AF447 went missing some time after it took off from Rio de Janeiro en route to Paris. It was realized that the flight had crashed into the ocean and even after 19 days of the crash, out of the 228 victims, only 49-50 bodies have recovered.

Brazil The Air Force Airbus A330 flight (flight no AF447) that went missing last Sunday night has now been declared as crashed in the Atlantic Ocean. Earlier Brazilian airforce planes had found life jacket, seats, etc. but now they have found two more important things - 23 Foot piece of the airplane and a 12 mile oil slick (shown in the picture).

WORLD: Air France Flight 447 vanishes between Brazil and Paris; 228 on board
Brazil Air France flight AF447 with 228 on board (216 passengers and 12 crew members) lost contact near Brazil's coast while making the 11 hour journey between Brazil's Rio de Janerio Airport and France's Charles de Gaulle Airport. WORLD: Debris Found
Brazil It has been reported that one of the Brazilian rescue planes have found debris like seat cushion, a life jacket, some white pieces of material and signs of fuel 600 miles off Brazil's northeastern coast and about 400 miles northeast of the Brazilian island of Fernando do Noronha, roughly along the plane’s scheduled flight path from Rio de Janiero to Paris. The wreakage is small for the an airplane of that size. So search is still on.
