WEIRD: SNL Presidents Reunion Video Highlights Need For Financial Reform
Funny or Die is back more political satire. This time they've done a great job of organizing a SNL presidents reunion, gathering a large cast of comedians (most of which are Saturday Night Live alumni) doing POTUS impersonations to educate viewers about the banking industry and the need for financial reform. The SNL presidents reunion video is described as follows:
Barack Obama gets a surprise visit in the night from ex-Presidents Bush Sr., Bush Jr., Clinton, Ford, Reagan and Carter to get a...

BIZ: Evil Russia Rises Again: Thank Goodness China and America are such good Friends?
I had a good laugh at this article:
Russia tried to talk China into waging financial war on the US in 2008, as the country was mired in a mortgage crisis.
According to a forthcoming book by former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, Russian leaders wanted the Chinese government to dump billions of dollars worth of bonds tied to ailing mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
That would have thrown the entities, which grease the wheels of America's mortgage market, into a crisis and...

Something that you will not hear much of and you should be hearing is:

Vancouver, Canada If you haven't heard, the financial crisis is now over. The economy is rising, foreclosures are a thing of the past, and people are finding jobs left and right. I know that's what you want to hear, but unfortunately that is far from the case.

BIZ: American Job Market Sheds 85,000 New Jobs, Strangely Unemployment Rate Holds at 10%
It is being reported that the number of unemployed rose by 85,000 in December due to layoffs. Strangely, the unemployment rate is holding steady at 10.2%. Currently, 15.3 Million people in the USA are unemployed, or more specifically claiming unemployment. The real figure is likely substantially higher after taking into account those that no longer are eligible for unemployment, or those that merely never filed.
Around 25 months ago, towards the start of the financial crisis, the...

BIZ: As America Struggles, the Banks Make a Killing
There is something to be said about a system that not only ensures the rich get richer, but rapes its citizens to give the wealthy the extra boost they so richly deserve. Most remember that when the Financial Crisis began, the banks had a great deal of trouble dealing with their toxic assets. While many blamed the banks for taking on these assets, claiming that these risky dealings were a major factor in causing the financial crisis in the first place, the government was quick to...

BIZ: Ukraine's Corruption May Disrupt Oil to Europe Once More
Few countries of the world are suffering quite as severely during this Financial Crisis as Ukraine. Gripped with corruption of the most extreme level, Ukraine's people are without work, without money and most importantly without food. Of course, the elite don't have this problem, but the middle and lower classes are scraping to get by while the administration sip champagne while enjoying black caviar in the back of their Maybach's.
It is no wonder that once again Ukraine is having...

As GM slowly rebuilds, its promise of scrapping the Big Block V8 has finally come to pass. An engine dating back to 1958 has finally seen its end, may it RIP.
Unfortunately, this move comes with even more layoffs. The Tonawanda plant employed 298 workers for the Big Block, all of which will now be let go, further adding to Americas financial crisis. The last engine rolled off the line on Friday, and was autographed by the factory employees. The final resting place for...
