BIZ: Government Motors (GM) Playing Games With Germany Again!
I have several articles about the fiasco that GM made in Germany over the sale of its division Opel. Now GM is trying to continue the fiasco and play games with Germany. This is months after saying that GM will keep Opel and can make it better.
Hummmm...

TECH: NASA and GM team up to present Robonaut 2
NASA has recently teamed up with GM to build the latest in robotic technology, the Robonaut 2. Nicknamed R2 (no, it isn't followed by D2), this robot is a step above the rest. Each of its human like arms can lift 10 Kilograms, which I hear is substantially more than the competition can claim.
For NASA, this robot is the ideal 'assistant'. It can go places that humans wouldn't want to, and can perform many of the menial tasks that humans are currently doing, like standard...

BIZ: America's GM Going to be Sued by Russia's Sberbank?
I have watched this deal collapse and watched the sneaky underhanded dealings of GM in these parts of the world. The deal collapsed November 3rd, 2009. Just two days before the final draft was to be signed. I have written before about how pathetic of a company the GM has become in America and now they show the world what they are really made of by backing out on a deal that Germany, Russia and Canadian companies have put together.
German Gref, the Sberbank CEO, said some 9,000 pages of...

Unfortunately, this move comes with even more layoffs. The Tonawanda plant employed 298 workers for the Big Block, all of which will now be let go, further adding to Americas financial crisis. The last engine rolled off the line on Friday, and was autographed by the factory employees. The final resting place for...

BIZ: Financial Crisis Claims Latest Victim ... Saab to Close
Stockholm, Sweden GM has announced plans to close its Saab unit, yet another failed GM line. Initially GM closed its Pontiac unit, next it took aim at its Saturn line, it sold off Opel and is attempting to finalize the Hummer deal. Now that Saab is on the chopping block, GM has theoretically been responsible for laying off well over 50,000 workers.
It is interesting to note, when a business hires workers they get tax breaks because of all the people they are supposedly helping, completely ignoring...

BIZ: Update on Magna-Sberbank's Buying General Motor's, Opel!
Here is an update on a subject that I have followed from the beginning: The European Union has been causing Germany tremendous headaches over the GM / Opel to Magna / Sberbank with the threats of antitrust issues. The EU finally has said that they will not cause or plan any blocks of the transaction. With Opel poised to run out of cash by mid-January, it was in nobody’s interests to reopen the bidding process for the car maker, and the EU was looking like they were going to force that...
