Portugal Around 254 students got together in a stadium in Portugal. They all stood in a line all around the stadium field, armed with a mattress each (behind them). The plan was to break the current Guinness World Record of the longest human domino chain of 100. Capetown, South Africa Surfers in South Africa claim to have broken the world record for most surfers boarding the same wave at the Earthwave beach festival in Muizenberg, Cape Town, South Africa. It is claimed that at least 103 surfers surfed the wave together. They needed more than 100 to break the previous world record set at a previous Earthwave festival, in Santos in Brazil.
