Sacramento, California It looks like only a matter of time before California sees legalized marijuana. The 2010 ballot will probably have a vote on the issue, and tomorrow there is going to be a formal hearing on a bill.

WORLD: Legalized Marijuana to Make California's 2010 Ballot
California looks to be America's first state with legalized marijuana. Unless of course the religious freaks don't interfere as they usually do. To make the ballot organizers must collect 434,000 signatures. Organizers claim they have well over that already.
"We'll keep our organizers on the street to keep the momentum going strong, but today we're declaring an overwhelming victory," Lee said.

WEIRD: Hell Yeah!!! Professional Women Choosing Pot over Wine
Honestly, I simply don't know what to say other than ... Obviously!!!! I am an avid pot smoker. Marijuana has always been a way for me to unwind. I have never been much of a drinker, even throughout my college life, and have always preferred a joint to a beer ... still do, of course.
Not surprisingly, I am not alone. As time passes it seems more and more professionals are coming out of the closet and admitting to smoking pot. In the office, I generally...

WORLD: Schwarzenegger's Twitter Plan Adds Fuel to Legalizing Marijuana
Sacramento, California Arnold Schwarzenegger may not be the best politician, but he often has some progressive ideas. His latest idea to help fight California's budget crisis is to setup a twitter hash, #myidea4ca, that maps to a website, MyIdea4CA. As people twitter using this hash, MyIdea4CA gets updated.
MyIdea4CA also allows a Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down function which further gives politicians a better feel for good vs bad ideas. Of course, the site isn't extremely secure,...

WORLD: New Hampshire Makes It Official
Concord, New Hampshire Today, Gov. John Lynch signed off on the bill to legalize same-sex marriage in the state of New Hampshire. This makes it the sixth state in the union to allow gay marriage.
I wrote about this before when the state legislature passed a bill that was dependent on the Democratic governor’s approval. He promised to veto it originally if the congress didn’t make some changes, most notably specific language that spelled out the separation of church and state. ...
