McDonald's fast food chain is recalling 13.4 million "Shrek" themed drinking glasses in the United States and Canada after consumers were warned to stop using them because they contain the toxic metal cadmium. They were each sold for $2 and the painted design of the movie characters on the glass are reported to contain cadmium. Lemmer, Netherlands Bosses at a branch of the McDonald's hamburger chain in the Dutch town of Lemmer came under fire after an employee was fired for making a fellow employee's hamburger into a cheeseburger by adding an  extra slice of cheese. Interestingly, McDonalds rules state staff cannot give away products to staff, family and friends.
