In something that started as a contest organised by insect trap-making company, Imbictus International for catching the most number of mosquitoes - a woman has come out with a possible Guinness book of record - Huang Yuyen caught 4 million mosquitoes in a month. The catch weighed 3lbs 5oz beating the other 72 contenders by pounds!
Record? She should be charged with mass kidnapping instead!

WEIRD: Jackie Cobell: The slowest English Channel swimmer ever!
Jackie Cobell, 56-year old woman from Kent (UK), has become the slowest English Channel swimmer ever as she finished it in - 8 hours and 44 minutes to get from Dover to Calais after swimming 64 miles instead of the 21-mile direct route. She beat Henry Sullivan's record in 1923, by one hour and 56 minutes.
Her feat raised nearly £2,000 in charity sponsorship for research into Huntingdon’s disease, Interestingly the sum is still growing.

WEIRD: At 22 years, meet World's Oldest Hen in the World
Meet Yang's hen which at 22 is equivalent to 400 human years. This is definitely a big record of a hen's age as hens normally live for 7-8 years and the oldest report hen (before this) is reported to have lived 12 years.
Yang Shaofu, 77, of Sidazhuang village, Baoshan, Yunnan province, said the hen was bought by his daughter-in-law in 1988 along with four other chickens.
The hen still seems to be doing fine except for reduced appetite and bad vision.

WEIRD: Li Guiwen: Man makes record by driving across two rows of bottled beers for over 60 metres
There are a lot of drivers in the world who can't maintain their car inside the marked lines of a lane, but there is Li Guiwen, an army driver from Beijing (China), who managed to drive across two rows of bottled beers for over 60 metres.
He steered along 1,798 bottles for 60.19m in a time of 8 minutes and 28 seconds. He had previously attempted the same record in 2009, but due to rain, the right tyre of his vehicle slipped off the bottle track.

ENTERTAINMENT: James Cameron rakes in $350m for directing Avatar
James Cameron has apparently pocketed a whopping 350 million dollars for directing ‘Avatar,’ the highest-grossing film of all-time.
Deadline.com reports that the huge sum came because Cameron had signed a deal that assured him a big payday only if the expensive movie turned a profit, which, of course, it did, grossing 2.7-billion-dollar worldwide.

A 35-hour soccer game broke the record for the longest soccer game (earlier record of 33-hours) with the end score of 333-293. The game was held between All Stars against Cambray FC in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire to raise £30,000 to build a school for poverty-stricken children in India. The game was played using 36 total players and was planned for 40 hours but torrential rains shortened the plan by 5 hours.

Australia Australian street performer Chayne Hultgren aka Space Cowboy, 31, seems to have a strange love for swords and blades. He loves swallowing them!
Recently he swallowed 18 swords/stainless steel blades, each over 2 feet long, breaking his own record of 17.
The sword-eater said he started his dangerous hobby when he was 16 and had used different techniques to prepare his body, including stretching his throat with hoses.
