Women's "Booty Cruise" ends in lady fight (Pictures)
What happens when you put 500 drunk women on a single boat? A promotion cruise named "Booty cruise", for 500 women by KDWB on the St. Croix River in Minneapolis ended on an ugly note Thursday night when it ended with lady fights. The "Booty Cruise" from Andiamo Enterprises, is an annual event organized by the radio station featuring music, dancing, male strippers and on-air personality Dave Ryan. The fight seem to have started with a shoe according to one witness, another claimed race issue.
One witness identified Markeisha Donyae May and Kayla Dawn Glover and said they "were involved in the fight and were hitting and pushing girls on the boat," according to a police report.
May, 21, of New Hope told police that someone threw alcohol on her and that the fight stemmed from a "race issue," a report said. She insisted she had not hit anyone but instead "pulled people away."
May was cited for disorderly conduct and became belligerent when Bayport officers questioned her, the report said.
Glover, 22, of Osseo, was "respectful" to Bayport officers, but insisted "she did not hit anyone," the report said. She also was cited for disorderly conduct.
Stillwater police cited three others: Sarah Jean Lawler, 21, of Maple Grove; Michelle Jeanne Cosgrove, 25, of Oakdale; and Miranda Estelle Cuffe, 26, of White Bear Lake. Source: www.twincities.com
