Li Hongfang, 40-year old Chinese woman who is a mother of 2, has been shunned by public for the last 10 years because her face has been deformed by seven tumors and she doesn’t have the money to get them removed.
Li Hongfang, 40, was one of the most beautiful women in her village in northwest China before the strange lumps appeared from nowhere.
The mum-of-two first noticed a lump on her forehead in 2001 but paid little attention as the growth was small and not painful.
But the lump continued to grow until Li, from Tianchao village in Xianyang, in Shaanxi Province, needed surgery to remove it in 2005.
Her nightmare continued when more and more tumours appeared on her face and she was eventually diagnosed with chordoma, a type of bone cancer which causes abnormal amounts of tissue to grow.
The desperate woman’s face has now been engulfed by seven huge tumours which scare people away from her.
“I am just ill,” Li said. “Please, I am not a monster.”
The poor farmer is unable to afford treatment for her condition and has been forced to beg on the streets for help.
Her husband, Guo Yingping, also spends all his wages from building houses on his wife’s medical bills.
Li’s tumours are still growing and have started to spread to her breast, but in spite of her setbacks, she remains positive.
She added: “I don’t want my sons to lose their mother early like I did, so I have to be tough.”
Maybe some charity can pick her medical bill up!
