Dalia Dippolito, 26 and Michael Dippolito, 38, would seem like a normal Boynton Beach (Florida) newlyweds, except for the fact that Dalia wanted her her husband dead really bad - tried three times after just 6 months of marriage.

Three murder attempts -

• First attempt - Dalia took a trip to Riviera Beach, trying to strike up a deal with men who claimed to be hitmen, records released Monday show,. She paid them, but they took the money and disappeared.

• Second attempt - She took the matter in her hands - researched online for poisons. One day in late July she brought home two teas from Starbucks. One had been laced with odorless anti-freeze.

Michael Dippolito, a felon still paying restitution to victims of an earlier fraud scheme, told police he took a sip and spit it out. Even so, the foul taste lingered in his mouth and stomach problems ailed him for days. Source: www.palmbeachpost.com

• Third attempt - She contacted a friend who called the cops who set her up with a undercover officer and then staged a fake murder scene. On August 5th, the day of the murder, she left early for a local LA Fitness, taking with her valuables and jewelry she typically left behind. When nothing seemed to work, she finally called a close friend and asked for his help in knocking off Michael Dippolito, 38.

The friend responded by calling the Boynton Beach cops, who set Dippolito up with an undercover officer and ultimately staged a fake murder scene at her house that made her a cable-news sensation.

Earlier Michael had told the police that he met her at a Starbucks but seems that they met when he used her for a day at his office as an escort!

"She's actually an escort," he said in the August interview, which was released this week. "That's how I met her. She came to my office one day. I called her and solicited her to the office and she came."

"After that one time," he said, "we started dating."

The new revelation about 26-year-old Dalia Dippolito's past comes three months after her arrest on a charge of solicitation to commit first-degree murder. At the time of her arrest, Michael told reporters they had met at a Starbucks.

Dalia was audacious still, and even called Michael to convince him that they were framing her.

From the county jail, where she was held before being released on house arrest, Dalia Dippolito dialed up the man cops say she wanted dead.

"Hey, it's me," she said.

"Yeah," said her stunned husband. "What's up?"

"Nothing, Mike. Can you please come here?"

She wanted him to hire her a lawyer, she said. And in a ten-minute conversation that followed, she tried to convince him that the plot detectives had accused her of — buttressed with several secret video recordings, recorded phone calls and an elaborate staged murder scene — was all a lie.

It didn't work.

She also called her mother to get him removed from the townhouse which she had got in her name.

Then she demanded he be removed from the house she had convinced him to sign over to her.

"I heard Mike is at the house," she told her mother. "I want him out of my house. That's my house. The title's in my name."

Dalia seems to be an expect con-woman. The trick seemed to be as follows -

• Work for an escort agency and hunt on easy preys - older male, ready to fall in love and marry.
• Get all the real estate etc. in your name.
• Get them arrested for life or else get them murdered.
