As the propaganda stirs, news agencies quickly begin to pick their sides.  Some agencies try to remain neutral, but the majority of western news agencies quickly side with Ukraine.  This isn't a surprise as they always side with whoever is against Russia, regardless of circumstances.

Without being at the top of Gazprom, it is virtually impossible to know who is at fault with regards to the gas pressure shortage.  It is safe to assume that Russia is playing games and that it will do whatever necessary to drive Ukraine deeper into the ground.  However, Ukraine is no angel in this situation.

It is safe to assume that Ukraine is syphoning gas.  Not only is it safe to assume this, but it is a certainty.  Ukraine is filled with some of the most corrupt officials world wide, you can be sure that Gas is being stolen.  You can also be sure that the money is being divided at the top, and the people are not going to see a dime of the stolen cash.

What is more important to keep in mind is the fact that Ukraine has Always been stealing gas from the pipes.  There is no doubt in anyone's mind about that, except for maybe the Media, and it is more than likely that they are well aware of this fact as well.  Ukraine has been syphoning gas from Russian pipes since day 1, and will continue to do so.  You can be sure that they are not stealing a great deal, most likely something hard to track like .001%, but when we are talking of $Billions monthly, the sum isn't quite so negligible.

It is important for readers to keep in mind that the Media has an agenda.  They will always pick particular sides in any conflict.  People need to open their eyes and learn to read between the lines.  Russia is no white knight, but neither is Ukraine.
