The Taliban has claimed responsibility for a Kabul blast which took the lives of four civilians and one American soldier.  The blast also wounded approximately 20 others.  The blast originated from a suicide car bomb which exploded not too far from a US military base. 

Shortly afterwards, a second blast was felt in the Nagarhar province where 1 was killed and six injured.  Three of the injured were Police officers. 

The Taliban laid claim to both of these attacks, adding that the suicide bomber in Kabul was driving a Toyota Corolla.  The Taliban seem to have followed in the footsteps of Osama Bin Laden, and other extremists in trying to get their voices heard.  Unfortunately, they fail to realize that this type of conversation doesn't help their cause.
