The verdict is in, Oksana Shachko is to pay 1000 rubles (about $35) for her participation in FEMEN's Gazprom protest. They convicted her with hooliganism and gave her a moderate fine. Surprisingly, FEMEN have refused to pay the fine. Obviously not due to funding issues, considering the trip alone for Oksana from Kiev to Moscow and back cost 10 times as much, but more due to principle. FEMEN call upon the politicians in Ukraine not to fill Putin's coffers and to make a stand against the ridiculously over inflated cost of natural gas.
