WORLD: Talented job seeker commits suicide after being rejected for over 200 jobs in UK
The recent recession has led to record unemployment rate all over the world, leaving a lot of talented people unemployed and frustrated.
Vicky Harrison's story shows the reality that a lot of people are going through in current times. Vicky was a talented 21-year old girl with3 A-levels and ten GCSEs who couldn't find a job for over 2 years. She is reported to have applied to dozens of jobs every week including shop work, waitressing and as a school dinner lady. She got so depressed and frustrated that on March 31 2010, she committed suicide by overdosing on pills.
Vicky, who lived in Darwen, Lancashire, left three suicide notes - one for her mother, father and boyfriend.
In them she wrote: 'It is just that I don't want to be me anymore. Please don't be sad. It's not your fault. I want everybody in life to be HAPPY.'
Vicky's father said: 'In the end it obviously got her down to such a point that she felt she had no future.
'It shouldn't have been like that. She had a lot to give and was very determined. She was just ground down following one knock back after another.
'Young people need to be given more help to assist them in finding work.'
He added: 'She was such a gorgeous girl and had a stunning smile. She was clever, too. There was no reason why she shouldn't have been able to find a job.
'What upsets us so much is that there are obviously so many other people out there in a similar position.'

the egoic age ends with fratricide - thus we enter the rational age.

Save the people from this sad outburst of suicide. There are lots of financial instituions that would help deploy fast employment. The Financial Reform Bill Summary HR 4173 has already passed the House of Representatives and is now due to be presented to the Senate. If the Senate passes this bill we might be close to seeing a lot of changes in our financial institutions.

Memory...
With 2.5 million jobless, I am sure there are a lot without jobs. I personally know a lot of newly grads who are having problems getting a job. IT jobs are sometimes easy, but jobs that require a generic skill set aren't.

Thanks for the link! Financial reform is a must.
Something that has just got lost - restricting normal people from buying commodity futures (like oil...) to cause another oil bubble. Otherwise, we might be seeing $250+ per barrel of crude oil soon and the airlines, etc. will all go bankrupt.
