Prince William and Kate Middleton were married at Westminster Abbey (London UK) in a grand and almost flawless wedding.
The couple, unlike Prince Charles and Diana, looked like a couple in love.
As for the wedding dress, Kate chose chose Sarah Burton for her wedding gown designer.
As expexted, the mood in London was festive.
The parade route was swathed with huge Union Jacks. The weather held, and, predictably, huge crowds lined the route, waving their miniature flags, as the royals and the Middletons made their way to Westminster Abbey in a parade of Bentleys and Rolls-Royces. The crowds exploded when William and Kate rode past them in an open carriage on their way to Buckingham Palace, where they performed the traditional kiss at the palace balcony. It was so fleeting that at least one network repeated it in slo-mo. The pair must have known it too because they smooched again, to the delight of all.Source: www.boston.com
The cake at the reception at Buckingham’s palace was flawless too.
On the day, the Queen made William the Duke of Cambridge and Kate Middleton a Duchess.
After the wedding, Prince Williams drove Kate ion an unexpected drive from Buckingham Palace reception to Clarence House in in Prince Charles’s open-top Aston Martin with ‘Just wed’ on the number plate.
Now that is a royal wedding worth remembering for life!
I am sure Princess Diana would have been proud.
Congratulations to the newly wed!
