Robert Mugabe is a businessman at its most ruthless.  Not only does he control an entire country, he would rather watch it burn to the ground than have it fall into the hands of the competition.  The business of running a country, even one of the poorest countries in the world, is far more profitable than running a small time corporation like Wal-Mart.  Mugabe's problem is that he may be ruthless, but he isn't among the inteligent elite.  By his arrogance and selfishness, he has decimated Zimbabwe's economy which in turn cost Mugabe a few Bentleys. 

Recently, Mugabe went on the offensive declaring (AFP):

I will never, never, never, never surrender. Zimbabwe is mine, I am a Zimbabwean. Zimbabwe for Zimbabweans. Zimbabwe never for the British, Britain for the British.

Strange that Mugabe would single out the British, when the whole world is against him, but he needs to say something to his few remaining supporters.  If Zimbabwe is anything like Ukraine, which you can be sure of, the majority of his 'supporters' at rallies are well paid to be there.
