I enjoy a good drink as much as the next person, especially on New Years Eve.  The President of Ukraine, apparently, feels that a good drink is more important than resolving the Gas Crisis.  Ukrainian TV News just announced that the President of Ukraine, Viktor Yushenko, in his infinite wisdom has decreed that on this New Years Eve he has more important things to do than resolve Ukraine's gas crisis.  The fact that he is leaving his country without gas on this new year doesn't seem to bother him because he simply plans to steal gas from the European pipeline. 

Lets hope Russia doesn't protects its gas the same way the USA protects its Oil interests.
